NYFW Shoes - Reaching New Heights
The collection of shoes for Spring 2013 at NYFW are taking the gladiators to a whole new level.
My favorite are the one's seen on the Alexander Wang runway (the last two pictures) which are minimal and modern.

It's been a while since my last post...but now I'm BACK!!! I've done a lot of traveling over the summer and have been working on my new online consignment business, Full Circle Fashion (which I'll give more details about in my next post). Here are some photos from my amazing time in Israel. The people were so warm and friendly and I have now decided I can live on hummus, cucumber & tomato salad and falafel everyday! Where did your summer travels take you?

How to Look Gorgeous in Photographs
Photographs are a wonderful way to capture elements of your life, whether it be important milestones and events, gatherings with friends or family or subtle but meaningful moments. I'm sure you at some point you had a photograph taken that you wish you could take back because you did not look your best. Or perhaps you are camera shy in general and avoid having snapshots taken of you at all costs. However, it does not have to be this way, as there are steps you can take so you can confidently face the camera. Here are ways on how to look gorgeous in photographs:
- Check the Mirror – Before you have your picture taken, check the mirror to see how you look. Fix your hair as needed and remove any stray hairs. Look for any markings or blemishes on your face. Carry a small mirror in your purse or wallet, as well as a brush or comb for when you are on the go. You never know when you might have your picture taken.
- Smile – A smile is one of the most important features of a photograph. Give a nice smile but don't force it. Be natural about it. If you have trouble doing this, then try to think of a funny moment in your life, or joke around with friends before the photo is taken to help loosen you up. A good smile does not necessarily have to be a wide-open smile either. It should be whatever is most comfortable and natural for you.
- Posture – Keeping good posture is an important element of photographs as well. Keep your back straight and your head up, and you will look thinner and less sluggish. Also, keeping your chin up prevents you from having the "double-chin" look. Have good posture, but don't be too stiff with your body. Relax your shoulders for a natural look.
- Stance – Take a beauty tip from the fashion models and stand with one leg slightly behind the other. This helps make you look taller and thinner. Put most of your weight on the back foot and have your knee slightly bent on the front leg. Another good look is to stand with you legs crossed at the knee.
