The new ad campaign for  T by Alexander Wang featuring Zoe Kravitz caught my eye right away.  Her earthy yet rocker- girl style pair perfectly with these comfy, slouchy clothes. griffith observatory

It's kind of crazy that before yesterday, I've lived in LA nearly my whole life and have never been to the Griffith Observatory.  Matt and I decided to check it out around 6:30pm to catch the sunset.  Since the parking lot was full, we had to park at the bottom and do a bit of a hike to get to the top of the hill but the view was totally worth it.  There's also a huge telescope you can look at to see the moon up close which isn't something you get to do everyday.  After all the walking, we got some dinner at Alcove Cafe in Los Feliz... a bit crowded but the onion rings are to die for!

Palm Springs was a much needed getaway and it felt great to be in the sweltering desert heat. My mom wanted to relax on her birthday so we stayed at the Miramonte Resort.  Every day was filled with activities like morning walks and Hydro Yo Chi (a water  yoga/tai chi combo).  Of course we had to splurge on massages at The Well spa which features pure salt water pools and personalized aromatherapy treatments using Tara Oils.  On the drive home, it was impossible to not make a stop at the Barney's outlet in Cabazon outlet mall.  Have you taken any fun summer road trips? I'm off to Palm Springs for the weekend to celebrate my moms birthday! So excited for the hot desert heat and some full on relaxation.  And fyi to all the LA people, there's supposed to be a meteor shower tonight. Have a great weekend. Pin It

LA based designer Lilian Emrani draws her inspiration anywhere from art deco architecture to punk rock culture.  My favorite piece is the Pretty Boy necklace in oxidized sterling silver which is cast from an actual human mouth. It's the perfect accessory to take the "tough girl" look to the next level.
