For all the ladies in the LA area, there's an Indah Sample Sale happening on Saturday February 12th from 9:30am-2:30pm.  What better way to spend a Saturday afternoon than to sip on mimosas while you shop for super cute dresses, bikinis, lounge pants, sarongs and more.  P.S. did I mention there'll be $5, $10, and $20 bins!

behind the scenes malibu mag photo shoot

When I look at editorials, instantly I notice are the clothes and the model.  I never realized how much behind the scenes work it takes to get everything to look amazing.  On sunday around 11:30am the crew showed up. Beauty maven, Kerry Malouf with her case of make-up (secret weapon is Jouer tinted moisturizer...this stuff works miracles!) Then Anton, came in and styled the model's hair, giving her that sultry, bed-head chic look we all strive for.  Lauren Matocha from Elyse walker was in charge of wardrobe and brought a mix of beachy, sexy, bohemian pieces to follow the inspiration board....think faux fur vests, chunky silver rings, tattered denim shorts, etc. Brian Bowen Smith, the talented photographer whose book is The Men and Women of Marc Jacobs, captured it all. Be sure to check out the issue of Malibu Mag when it comes out next month.

Sorry, it's been a while since my last blog post, but I've been in Mammoth for New Years in a cabin...WITHOUT ANY INTERNET ACCESS!!!  Other than not being able to use the internet and getting my car stuck in our snow-filled driveway, the trip was a blast.  We had about 20 people staying in one big cabin, so needless to say there was never a dull moment.  How did you ring in 2011?
