sunset at the Getty

Believe it or not, until yesterday I was an LA native who'd never been to the Getty Museum. The Irving Penn photography exhibit was my personal favorite. When we walked outside in the garden area around 4:30pm there was the most perfect winter sunset.

you're my new obsession

The other day I got my hands on a pair of Camillla Skovgaard wedge ankle booties!! From the tread on the sole to the hidden platform, these boots have quickly become my new go-to shoes. Another major plus, is that they are super comfy, you could walk all day or dance all night in them. I did also try on the thigh-high version but opted for ankle height instead (more my style) although the thigh-high ones are HOT! Shopbop has sold out of these shoes but I've seen some on Ebay. a birthday and engagement all in one

I can officially use the word "fiance". On Friday night my longtime boyfriend Matt popped the question at our favorite Italian restaurant. The next night we celebrated my birthday at Pico Bowl to in Santa Monica for some extreme bowling. There were Sprinkles cupcakes, good friends and glow in the dark bowling balls, we had a blast!! Sunday morning at the Melrose Flea Market is full of surprises and hidden gems; case in point this vintage rhinestone necklace I scored for 10 bucks!!! I'm not really a blingy girl, but sometimes I can't resist a little over-the-top jewelry paired with a casual t-shirt. I love how Alexa Chung is wearing her rhinestone necklace with her hair in a messy ponytail and a simple red top. You go girl!
