gearing up for the cold

Hope everyone has been enjoying the holiday festivites.  I'm driving up to Mammoth tomorrow bright and early to have some fun in the snow and celebrate the New Year.  I can't help but wish I had a pair of these Ugg and Jimmy Choo limited edition boots to keep my toesies warm (Amber Valletta looks so good in them!)  I'll have to settle for my old beat up Uggs for now.  What are your plans to ring in 2011?? I don't know about you but all of this holiday shopping has seriously taken a toll on my sanity.  Of course, when shopping for others I always see things I want for myself...which really isn't so bad is it?  Anyways I went to Forever 21 (which was a total madhouse!) but scored some really cute thigh-high socks for like 5 bucks.  You can also get them at American Apparel in various colors. the weekend

It always seems that right before the holidays, there are so many things going on.  Parties and other festivities have been keeping me busy.  Saturday night we celebrated our friend's birthday at his log cabin-style house (he is one of the owners of The Bigfoot Lodge) with bbq, some pool playing and drinks.  Sunday night I had a party at the Venice Canals to watch the Holiday Boat Parade which was really, really fun.  Now, if only I could find some time to get started on Christmas shopping. I don't always like unconventional wedding dresses because sometime it seems like they're trying too hard to be different.... but this one from Oracle Fox's wedding in Bali totally fits the location and I think it looks stunning on her! For my 25th birthday (ahhh 25 I can't believe it) I had a house party to celebrate not only my birthday but also moving into a new house. Since I feel like I'm now officially an adult, it seemed only right to rent a moonbounce. Oh, the Oxford. Being a girl who loves heels I still can't resist this classic shoe by Miu Miu.  Recently, I saw a girl wearing the black ones with black skinny jeans and a patent Givenchy bag and she looked so chic.  Although, if I had to choose I think I would get the nude pair.
