Miniature Style

These kids looks like tiny people with their cool, grown-up style.  The first picture is Alexander Wang's niece (love how she's rocking a mini Coco bag)!!

How to Look Gorgeous in Photographs

Photographs are a wonderful way to capture elements of your life, whether it be important milestones and events, gatherings with friends or family or subtle but meaningful moments. I'm sure you at some point you had a photograph taken that you wish you could take back because you did not look your best. Or perhaps you are camera shy in general and avoid having snapshots taken of you at all costs. However, it does not have to be this way, as there are steps you can take so you can confidently face the camera. Here are ways on how to look gorgeous in photographs:
  • Check the Mirror Before you have your picture taken, check the mirror to see how you look. Fix your hair as needed and remove any stray hairs. Look for any markings or blemishes on your face. Carry a small mirror in your purse or wallet, as well as a brush or comb for when you are on the go. You never know when you might have your picture taken.
  • Smile A smile is one of the most important features of a photograph. Give a nice smile but don't force it. Be natural about it. If you have trouble doing this, then try to think of a funny moment in your life, or joke around with friends before the photo is taken to help loosen you up. A good smile does not necessarily have to be a wide-open smile either. It should be whatever is most comfortable and natural for you.
  • Posture Keeping good posture is an important element of photographs as well. Keep your back straight and your head up, and you will look thinner and less sluggish. Also, keeping your chin up prevents you from having the "double-chin" look. Have good posture, but don't be too stiff with your body. Relax your shoulders for a natural look.
  • Stance Take a beauty tip from the fashion models and stand with one leg slightly behind the other. This helps make you look taller and thinner. Put most of your weight on the back foot and have your knee slightly bent on the front leg. Another good look is to stand with you legs crossed at the knee.

Kate Goes Glam

We're all so used to seeing Kate Bosworth in her casual, street-style but I really love her in this custom-prada feather dress finished off with all of that bling!! Who did you think was best dressed at the Met-Gala?

On The Streets Of Tokyo (Part 1)

Bridge in Harajuku

Cute, little shopping street in Shibuya
This 1966 Vespa matches my bag -- I have to have it!

A rad neon bag by a local Japanese designer

Spicy, delicious food
Not so delicious Japanese breakfast at our hotel... not a fan of fish in the morning.

Some photos from my second trip back to Japan.  Honestly, I am so fascinated by the culture -- there's a mix of modern fashion, architecture and technology but the values are very traditional.  Some of the nicest people I've ever met and the shopping was UNREAL (probably went to nearly a hundred stores...not joking)  And don't even get me started on the food! More pictures coming soon... Pin It
