As summer is quickly approaching it is time to think about finding that chic beach ensemble. The lady above is making a BOLD statement alright, but not one that anyone wants to see. EEEEEK. If you want to follow the cut-out swim suit trend try some of these.
Today was definitely a good one. I took these pictures at a secret little walkway in Venice. The colors were so vibrant and inspiring. Then I spotted this fat car sleeping on someone's front porch and I didn't even know if he was real because he was so still but then he peeped his eyes open and looked right at me.
Isabel Marant's designs have recently caught my attention. I truly adore the collection from her Spring '09 runway show. My favorite item is the lace mini-dress; its so dreamy!!! Her collection is the epitome of young Parisian street style and I love that anyone can pull off these looks straight from the runway to the subway. Click here to shop this look.
Indie actress, Chloe Sevigny may get criticized for her bold ensemble choices but I love that she isn't afraid to try new things. She pushes the envelope and is a fashion trendsetter. Above are some of my favorites of her looks.
M's current obsession, blazers with open backs. Alexander Wang's jacket with cutout back and Erin Wasson x RVCA, hard nation jacket. I want to figure out a way to DIY this, but then I would have to beef up on my seamstress skills.
There is something incredibly sexy about a sheer dress. The undergarments seen underneath, the skin covered but still leaving a little to the imagination. On a practical level, it also breathes and summer is upon us. I (M) went searching for some of the most promising sheer dresses for sale now.
Last Sunday, We, M, T and Nikki went to our friend Giedre's (or G as we like to call our Lithuanian comrade) tea party, the occasion being her moving to London. Of course she looked fabulous, in her vintage flowered asymmetrical dress, white gloves and hat. She always knows how to make a statement. The food and tea was delicious and seeing G off was both saddening but we are all hopeful for her future successes in England.
